Ok, Because I'm pre-occupied with something this week, I haven't been able to think of a single thing to write about, interesting or otherwise. So, it's going to come down to the Friday Five.
1. What housekeeping chore(s) do you hate doing the most?
Well, all of them of course. I am not Monica Geller and I do not have an obsessive compulsion to clean. In general, if I could get away without cleaning anything I would quite happily live in a pig sty. However...that's not exactly acceptable, so I'm FORCED to clean every now and then.
Most loathsome? Dishes. I hate doing dishes. I just don't enjoy it at all. Yes, we have a dishwasher and it makes things a whole lot easier, except that I still hate doing dishes. I have no issue with putting dishes in there, but I hate unloading it. For instance this morning I went into the kitchen and realized that the dishwasher was full of clean dishes and the sinks were completely full of dirty dishes. I could have loaded them in days ago, but I've been putting off unloading the damned thing.
2. Are there any that you like or don't mind doing?
I know this is going to sound strange. Really strange. But, I really don't mind cleaning the bathroom. When I was living away at school I had an agreement with the other girls that I would clean the bathroom as long as they did the dishes. I really think I won out on that deal. Though, I did still end up doing the dishes.
3. Do you have a routine throughout the week or just clean as it's needed?
I do not have a routine. I make my bed every morning before I go to work and pick up any clothes that I've left lying around on the floor. And then make sure there are not too many dishes left in the sink. But that's only because the house is up for sale and at any moment a real esate agent could come through with prospective buyers.
Otherwise? I clean when I have time. The fact that my work schedule isn't always the same has something to do with that too.
4. Do you have any odd cleaning/housekeeping quirks or rules?
I don't even know what this could possibly mean.
5. What was the last thing you cleaned?
The kitchen. Because as I said above the sinks were full of dirty dishes, and they needed to be emptied. So, yes, I emptied the dishwasher, put the clean ones away, put the dirty ones in, and then washed the cookie sheet I had stuffed inside the oven to hide it, and stuff.
Oh, I'm also currently in the middle of doing all of my laundry for the week as well.
