Random Ramblings

I don't actually have a whole lot to say. There's really not a whole lot going on with me lately. But, the page is blank, so I thought I'd try and fill it.

For the past month I've been without TV and so, I've watched many, many movies. I suppose I could sit and type what I thought of each and every one of them, but that seems a bit much. Especially since I've seen so many that I can't even remember them all. I can say that I did really enjoy Under the Tuscan Sun. And I didn't think that Lost in Translation was that great...aside from Scarlett Johansson that is. She was really quite good.

I have also read a whole lot of books. But, that had to stop when the book loan program went on hold at work. Inventory has really screwed everything up. Thankfully, it will finally take place tomorrow and everything can go back to normal. We can return stuff to put the inventory back to where it should be, and most importantly, I can once again borrow books.

At the moment I am re-reading Can You Keep A Secret? by Sophie Kinsella. Most people that I've heard of who read it didn't like it at all, but personally I love it. I think this is about the 4th or 5th time. The main character is as scatty as Becky Bloomwood, but she's not quite so deliberately stupid. I mean, really, just because you don't open your bills doesn't mean that they don't exsist. Waiting to be read after that is Blackberry Wine by Joanne Harris. I'm hooked on her books.

Apart from that, I'm busy with weddings....well, buying gifts for weddings anyway. My brother is getting married on May 1st, and then my friend Sam is getting married on June 5th. So, I've been trying to figure out gifts for showers, weddings, etc.. As well as sorting out what to wear. Thankfully Sam solved that issue for me for her wedding, I just need to figure something out for my brothers wedding. The dress I really want can be ordered online, but can't be shipped to Canada, which causes some problems. I'm thinking I'll enlist someone American who can lend me their address. It should work. Or, I guess, if I have to, I can find something else to wear...if I must.

So, we got our cable back this weekend, which means that I've been a TV watching fool! Well, not really. Last night I watched Trading Spaces, and tonight I'm watching Alias. Aside from that, I slept through a movie on TV Saturday afternoon.... Yup, I'm glad to have my cable back! :)

Aside from all that, I must be at work at 5:45 tomorrow morning. Yes, that's 5:45 AM. Well, I did say that Inventory screws everything up, didn't I??
